Aside from using your laptop computer (or one at a cyber café) to send an email (please see Mail Service), you can use the Internet to make a “telephony” call. Telephony technology has gotten much better recently thanks to telephony companies such as Skype.com. All you need to do is sign-up and you can make free global computer-to-computer telephone calls, or (for an extremely low rate) make computer-to-telephone calls. All you need is at least a dial-up Internet connection with a 50 kbps or greater connection. (Do note that unless you have access to a “high speed” Internet connection, your Telephony call may not be clear and reliable.)
