Keep a running list of all the "little things" that you'll have to do before departing on your trip. You'd be surprised how something obvious like remembering to have that final good-bye meal with your bestfriend might slip past you.

THE LITTLE THINGS

Driver's License

Get your international driver's permit from your local Auto Club (for Americans, visit www.AAA.com). It's about $15 and is honored in most countries. Since you may be driving a motorcycle (or scooter) overseas, consider also getting a motorcycle license.
